ACID VS ALKALINE FOODS
AN ACIDIC BALANCE:
- Decrease the body's ability to absorb minerals and other nutrients
- Decrease the energy production in cells
- Decrease its ability to repair damaged cells
- Decrease its ability to detoxify heavy metals
- Make tumor cells thrive
- Make the body more susceptible to fatigue and illness
- Cause degenerative diseases such as:
Arthritis, Gout, Kidney Stones, Osteoporosis, Cancer, Heart Disease, Diabetes,
Digestive Problems, Nervous Stress, only to name a few!
In summary, an acidic body is a SICKNESS MAGNET!!

An Acidic Body Corrodes From the Inside
Excess acidity is a condition that weakens all body systems, forcing the body to borrow minerals including calcium, sodium potassium and magnesium from vital organs and bones to buffer (neutralize) the acid and safely remove it from the body. As a result, the body can suffer severe and prolonged 'corrosion' due to high acidity, a condition that may go undetected for years.
It affects virtually every person in our society because of the way we live, the way we eat, and the environment we live in.
The result is an internal environment where disease can easily manifest, as opposed to a pH balanced environment, which allows normal body function necessary for the body to resist disease.
It is true that if we have a healthy body, we will maintain sufficient alkaline reserves to meet emergency demand.
However when excess acids must be continually neutralized, our alkaline reserves are depleted leaving the body in a weakened, diseased-prone condition.
This can cause some confusion. By acid-forming foods we are not referring to acid-tasting foods such as grapefruit and lemons. In fact these 'acidic' foods leave an alkaline ash in the body. Acid forming foods leave an acidic ash in the body.
An alkaline body conducts electricity better than an acid body, and pain is a sign that an electrical connection isn't being made correctly. Acid blocks conductivity. Your body systems work best within specific pH ranges. For example, blood needs to be between ph 7.0 and 7.45. A blood pH of 6.9, which is only slightly acidic, can induce coma and death. |
